Parking tips to the rescue
At TheMapa.com we want to give you some parking tips we are sure will make your life easier. Although parking regulations and rules vary from one city to another there are some common parking tips you can apply to save you some time:
Leave your house early, or at least so that you just don’t rush up and park the car anywhere you can. Drive around the parking lot to search the best park place. Also, look for the best angle so that drivers can park next to your car.
Use your review mirrors while parking. The are there for a reason and even if you already master the art of parking, one can't never be to safe.
Don’t park your car in between the parked lines by doing so you will be using the parking space of two cars.
Leave the same space between the vehicle you are driving and the car parked both in front and back of yours. This will help you get out of your parking spot without any problem.
Always look for permanent or temporary sings that indicates weather that spot your choosing to park your car in, is available for parking at that particular moment or not. When using a parking meter make sure to read all the information before you pay, sometimes parking meters work only a few days a week or at a certain time a day.
Stay away of the intersections and corners, since you are not suppose to park within 20 feet from corners and intersections.
Never park in front of a bus stop, which as their name indicates are for buses. Don't double park especially in places like schools and hospitals.
Don't overstay in time-restricted zones, if you are thinking about parking in one of these zones, make sure you will be back in time so you don't get a ticket for overstaying pass the permitted time. If you are not sure that you will be back in time is better if you use off street parking.
During the winter know the snow emergency parking rules.
